Big money day at work, and a new route

Thanks everyone for your piercing tips and advice! It's only been about 10 days since my ears have been pierced, so I guess I just need more patience.

I had an awesome day at work today. I worked 10-6:30, and it was pretty busy when I got there this morning. Before my break at 12:15, I had stripped my drawer of cash three times. I was busy enough today that I stripped $4100 in cash out of my register, and I took in another $8000+ in checks and credit card sales. Amazing! I love it when it's busy, because the time goes so fast!

I was given more hours today for next week, so I will again have 40 for the week. And I only have one late day, Monday, when I'm working 1:30-10. I am likely a cashier that night, which kind of sucks. If I'm going to be there that late, I would rather be in returns, but one just never knows what will happen a week ahead of time. I'm not sure how I will survive the one day I have of working at 7AM. Yikes! I'm usually just getting up then. Heh.

And I got to count out my drawer a half hour early tonight, because I had to take a Depot of Home class at 6PM... to be certified to work in the Christmas tree lot! Woot!! It was an easy peasy class, and now I'm all excited about working out in the lot. Yay!!

The weather was beautiful today, what I saw of it. It's supposed to warm up this weekend, and be in the mid to upper 70s for the rest of the week. But the nights are definitely much cooler lately. It gets all the way down to about 50... yeah, all of you in the northern states can hate me now. Haha.

The other day when I was driving to work, I saw this cool old car in front of me. He was on Boundary Street, and when we got close to the end of it, he turned right, and I continued on for a block and turned left, then went down three blocks and turned right, down five more and turned right again, then back five blocks to get to the freeway entrance.

I got on the freeway, made my exit, and took the ramp (which is pretty long) to the next freeway, and there was that same exact car in front of me! I was under the impression that the way I got to the freeway was the only way to go, only he was ahead of me.

This morning, when I crossed the canyon just before getting on the freeway, I looked to my right and saw that there was a bridge crossing the canyon about three blocks away. So I will have to investigate that on Friday when I have time, and it's light outside. It could just be an easier way to get to work!

So... that was my exciting day. Plus it's Pogo day today, so you know what I will be doing tonight! Woot!

How fun! You will be the Christmas Tree Queen!! (or Trollop, LOL) It's been dipping into the high 20's at night here and up into the 50's during the day. Everyone is wearing coats.....well, not EVERYone! Soon, though, I'm sure. My thick Alaskan blood is thinning just a tad :(

You just proved how important and beneficial it is to be oh so observant while driving! If you'd be yakking on a cell phone you'd never have notice that car probably and that hopefully shorter route for you!

Hope you DO find a faster way to work...that's always good. I had to wear my winter coat yesterday....bah! I don't even want to tell you how cold it was yesterday along with the wet misty rain...ick. So we went to the casino to make up for the nasty weather and I came home with $30 over what I had to begin with.
