Another thrilling day in the life...

I woke up early this morning, just about the time I wanted to. I took my shower and headed out the door... yes, I was in a hurry.. to do my laundry. And get my coffee from Rebecca's! They had fresh apple cinnamon scones out, but I was going out to breakfast with Big Sister so I had to pass on them. *sob*

I don't understand why my laundry went so fast, but I was finished with it by 8, so I drove up to Henry's to get some fruit for my lunches.

By then it was almost time to leave for Big Sister's house. Big Sister and I had breakfast off the SENIOR menu at Denny's and then we went shopping! Woot!! Shopping with her is always fun. We even got the Thanksgiving turkey for Tday at Poolie's house. Yummie!!

I made room for it in my freezer before I left, and I was glad I did. It takes up almost half of my freezer! I hung around the house for a bit, put my clean laundry away, and then went to see Poolie. Normally we do lunch on my day off, but having breakfast AND lunch out is a bit much, and she is pretty busy with the gala at the museum, so I just took her an afternoon snack.

We talked for a bit, and I managed not to snort any root beer out of my nose, but barely. You just never know what she will say that makes you suddenly have to laugh! I am very careful when I drink things in Poolie's company...

Yellow's not normally my color, but in this case I would be willing to make an exception:

There are a few new Ferraris in the exhibit now, and this is one. They are just gorgeous, and I would love to zoom down an empty freeway with a few of them!

And then a quick errand, and back home for me. I have to work at 7AM tomorrow (Gads that's early!!) so I need to be just chilling tonight. Maybe a little Pogo...

When I got home, I found this in the mail! Gorgeous earrings from KLo's workshop! Thanks a million!! I can't wait until I can actually wear them!

What on earth is a Senior Menu? Based on my limited experience with retirement homes, I'd guess it's pureed pre-digested food one doesn't have to chew. (And which one can happily suck up with a thick straw.) Oh, beanie, please tell me it isn't so! Love, R xxx

Oh YUM! You got a turkey from the Iowa Farms store!! They are sooooo good!! I hope you ate some of their chips that they always have laid out. They are SO good! Did you get the Butt Rub too?? We tried it last time when Kel and I were there and it was really good!
