A boring day

I've said it before.. I love days off. I didn't get to sleep until way after midnight last night, and then I was awake at 4.. but I went back to bed and slept until 8, so at least I felt a bit better.

I had kind of an unproductive day today. Kind of? Totally. Let's see... I did the dishes, and got most of the kitchen table cleaned off. That was the extent of my productiveness. Oh wait, I went to the store to get something for lunch for work tomorrow. OK, that was it.

I even took a nap this afternoon, just because I couldn't keep my eyes open. I'm not sure afternoon naps are a good thing, because I'm always kind of groggy afterward. I got up and to get moving, went out to pick up some Chinese food.

I go to this little place called "Great Wall Chinese Food" They only have to-go containers, and they stuff them full! I had enough food for two meals, for $5! Amazing. I'm not sure how they stay in business, but I'll continue to eat there now and then. Their orange chicken is really good, and I always get an order of their veggies, and white rice. Each item is $1.59.

So that was my really exciting day. At least it was a beautiful one, sunny and warm. People are still wearing shorts and flip flops. Love the weather!

Yeah? Well I'm still wearing my flip-flops too...with toe socks. Heh. It's supposed to be 22 degrees when I wake up in the morning. Maybe I need to find some of that polar fleece stuff to line my flip-flops.

It's not a nap, but a siesta, and totally appropriate for southern CA. i enjoy them in Los Angeles every visit.

in my town, it's currently 28F.

That sounds like a perfect day off....kind of like being retired...getting up when you wish, puttering around and then eating....It's a great life.

Dang... I wish there was a Chinese restaurant that cheap close to here!!! I couldn't eat the orange chicken (allergic to oranges) but I'm sure I could find something that was a decent substitute that I COULD eat.
