Some days just don't go the way you plan

I was so tired last night that I fell asleep at about 9:30, and slept until 6:30 this morning. I was still tired. I had such an enjoyable time this past week that I didn't want to waste it sleeping, and I put so much energy into the days that now I need to replace it. But believe me, I would do it all again. What an adventure it was! My sides still hurt from laughing, and I am still giggling every now and then when something reminds me of the Hunt. People at work think I'm crazy. Heh.

I didn't have to work today until 4PM, so I agreed to run an errand of mercy this morning. I had one appointment I had to keep at 8:30, but then I was free. Or so I thought.

Just after I started on my errand, the Depot of Home called me and asked if I could work at 11:30. Uhhh, no. I would have loved to, but once committed to my errand, I would not cancel. The Depot told me to come in when I could, which was great, even to get an extra 2 hours.

When I got there, they informed me that I could stay until 10 if I wanted, and get a full 8 hours for the day. Woot! I'll take it! So I stayed until 10. I was also given more hours for the rest of the week, to bring me up to 40 hours. I am liking that! Plus I have Sunday off!! That doesn't happen very often at all.

And next week's schedule is just as good, 3 days of 9-5:30, and 11:30-8 for the weekend. I could get used to that!

I spent the first 6 hours of my day out in garden. It was beautiful when I got out there, but within a half hour the wind picked up, and it got cold and kind of misty outside. I was actually wishing I'd brought a jacket or worn a long sleeved shirt! I went into the main store to work when I closed up the garden, so at least I could warm up.

Other than Norma, I was the only female there. I had a good time laughing at with the young men who were also working tonight. It was a good day at work, other than some of the customers who were apparently having a bad Monday. I guess someone has to, huh? Sure glad it wasn't me!

Now I need to read some diaries before hitting the sack. I'm pooped! I have another appointment tomorrow at 10:30. I'm glad this one is a bit later, so I have time to have breakfast before I go.

And just cause all the cool kids are doing it...

It's about time the Depot of Home recognized you for the wonderful employee that you are and gave you all sorts of extra hours!

By the way - it's 26 degrees this morning. Probably same in Wisconsin. Just thought I'd pass on this note to remind you how smart you are and how dumb we all are, still living here!
