Karaoke, the casino, and the Hunt

Bummer, Rosie did not win the karaoke contest last night. Not because she didn't sing well; she did. There were other contestants who did have lovely voices, but not the stage presence of Rosie. In fact, we are not at all sure why the person who won, won.

In my opinion, people who judge singers should know something about it.. music teachers, professional singers... two of the judges were radio DJs, and one was the general manager of the casino we were at. Well, I think Rosie is going to try again next week, but unfortunately I won't be able to go.

theratqueen picked me up and did the night's driving. I got home at 2:38. I'm thankful I didn't work any earlier than I did, at 10:30. We gambled a bit at the casino, and I managed to break even! Woot! In fact, I could easily have stayed a couple more hours. I really wasn't that tired before we left. However, once my head hit the pillow, that was it for me!

Theratqueen and I were talking on the way home about the Great Javelina Hunt of 2009. Since our dear Poolagirl will be unable to take a vacation this October, it seems to me that the best idea would be to have it in San Diego. For several reasons, I think this is the best place. We figured out some of the details last night, but I want to discuss them with Poolie and Rosie before taking too many steps.

Anyone interested in coming?

So work today was pretty long, since I was tired and a bit grumpy. I put on a happy face, but there just were a few irritants at work today that got under my skin. It will ease up, and I figure that it will just make it easier to leave the Depot when the time comes. I'm just biding my time....

Now it's 9PM already. I work at 9 tomorrow, so I can still catch some good sleeping time.....

Oh, Man!! I can't believe that Rosie didn't win. Surely she will next week!

I can't believe Rosie didn't win either....it was probably rigged! As for the Javelina Hunt 2009....depending on when...MAYBE I can come too since RH is talking about taking a vacation this fall. Whoo Hoo!
